The RECSAM Library has transitioned from using proprietary software systems to the KOHA Open Source Library System. This change was made in order to maintain efficient and effective library services, while also saving on long-term system maintenance costs. The use of the KOHA OPAC interface, library management setup, and circulation procedures are now all online based on the web. This ensures that the library services provided by the RECSAM Library are always efficient, smooth, reliable, and relevant to users. OPAC is used to locate materials in the library's collection, providing detailed information such as call numbers, loan status, and more.

We are continuously expanding and improving the research experience. The catalog now includes simple and advanced search options, innovative subject search and browse functionality, an enhanced display for serials, and real-time status messaging for users. You can search by keyword, author, book title, journal title, subject, ISBN, and call number.
